Restaurants: Bert's and Ernie's breakfast cafes are within easy walking distance. Burger Lounge, one of Tahoe's best burgers, is on US-50 just over a mile from the Motel.

Golf Courses: Tahoe Paradise: 3021 Highway 50 (just 4 miles). South Lake Tahoe: 2100 Highway 50 (just 2 miles). Bijou Municipal Golf Course: 3464 Fairway Avenue, South Lake Tahoe (7 miles, 9-hole course).

Tennis courts are at the local middle school or high school.

Horseback riding: located just past Camp Richardson on the lefthand side of US-50 (4 miles).

Wine tasting: The Cork & More: 1032 Al Tahoe Boulevard, South Lake Tahoe. A great novelty, deli and wine-tatsting store.

High Country Lodge is one of the closest lodgings to Sierra at Tahoe .
